Hi friends! We’re Lauren Wright and Alexis Jensen - founders of Conscious Comforts, a 100% plant-based catering company and wholesale bakery in Omaha. Our eats + treats are always free of dairy, egg, and meat. In addition to this, we pride ourselves on offering a large variety of food options that are free from gluten, soy, and sugar.

Facing her own autoimmune struggles, learning how to cook appropriately became a necessity for Lauren. After finding a path to healing through a dairy + gluten free diet, Lauren launched Conscious Comforts out of her home kitchen in November 2019, hoping to help others who faced similar struggles.

Omaha met Conscious Comforts with open arms and the need for accessible, safe and delicious food became more apparent than ever. By the end of January 2020, I had joined the team, and we moved into our first commercial kitchen.

What started as matching avocado tattoos and a notebook full of half-baked ideas and back-burner goals had quickly become a reality. We set out to define what Conscious Comforts could be - not fully grasping where this journey would take us, but knowing it was so important that we keep going.

Now, six years later - so much has changed, but our goal remains: we work to bridge the gap between those with food sensitivities and safe cuisine options accessible to them.

You deserve access to nourishment that makes you feel good and leaves your tastebuds happy regardless of the ingredients that must be omitted. Period.

As a scratch kitchen, we focus on the utilization of local vendors, sustainable business practices and putting love into everything we do. From the bread we bake to the pastries we decorate, we work hard to convey this message in every order, every day.

In addition to this, our online menu is available for pick up five days a week with a 72-hour notice. Our pick up location is at our certified kitchen space on 2320 Keystone Drive - although we are not a store front, you’re welcome to stop by if you see the OPEN sign on. We always have extras on hand!
